About

Aireon Cline

Artist Biography

Born on the Northern California Redwood Coast, Aireon started her early art career sketching Victorian mansions for commission. She earned her formal painting and sculptural education at California State University, Sacramento while working as an Art Director for Tower Records. Relocating to the Jersey Shore in 1993, Aireon worked in NYC at Tower Records continuing airbrushing and creating multi media billboards for major record labels. She then worked as an Art Teacher for over 15 years in Howell, NJ. Commissioned for mural painting, sign making, portraits, and sculptural landscaping features, she has continually used elements of nature for inspiration in her work. Participating in the Jersey Shore Re-Clam the Bay project, Aireon painted over 12 fiberglass clams 5′ tall that adorn businesses and a museum on Long Beach Island. Recently working at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ as a Fine Arts Technician, she is focusing on creating ceramic plate sets with nerikomi techniques, sculptural ocean figures and mixed media paintings inspired by the Jersey shore.

Artist Statement

My art reflects the beauty of nature in all its moments of simplicity and complexity: the movement of the ocean, creatures of the sea, colors, celebration and moods of the changing seasons. It is my hope to bring daily delight and a certain lasting adventure with an original perspective.
